Does Brainsway's TMS therapy generate any long-term side effects?
Brainsway Deep TMS is both safe and effective*, and has no known systemic side effects*. The most common side effect is temporary, slight pain or discomfort located in the area of the treatment, which occurs during session, and typically only during the first week of TMS treatment. Other than that there could be muscle twitching and jaw pain*.
What are the differences between Deep TMS and ECT?
ECT entails seizures, while Deep TMS performs magnetic stimulation at an amplitude similar to that of MRI. ECT means the patient must undergo anesthesia and take on risks for cognitive side effects such as memory loss, while Deep TMS does not require anesthesia and has no effects on memory.
Is Brainsway Deep TMS suitable for everyone?
Deep TMS is not suitable if the patient has metal implants in or around your head (except for standard amalgam dental fillings). Please consult with your doctor to check if Brainsway TMS therapy is suitable for you.
What are the conditions for which Brainsway Deep TMS is CE-cleared?

What should I expect in the actual session?
Typically, many patients hear a tapping sound and experience a tapping sensation around the head. The patient is provided with earplugs that can diminish the tapping sound
